Promoting my friend’s favorite band here. Check them out!
I rejoined SuicideGirls.com the other day, and thought i would relay the tales, except that i ran into a problem…i know some of these women outside of SG, and in fact i’m in contact with 2 of them. So, i guess i have to cut out some of the info here. the question was, do i remove the SG names, or do i remove the photos?
I went with removing names. the photos are just too good. Everything is PG-13 or below. I copied the blog post i made at SG right into here. More after the break.
Mótus:
Noun, Latin. The action or process of moving or of changing place or position; movement.
I have started the process of moving and rebuilding the site from Yahoo! Small Business to Ipage and as a result a lot of the site is going to be down for awhile. Most affected right now are the sub domain sites i’ve had up, including GameDisappointment.com, Lost.AMurderOfCrows.net, DnD.AMurderOfCrows.net, and and of the god awful Yahoo Sitebuilder or Site Solution sites i had up.
I’ve been thinking about this move for a long time, but i actually moved mainly for two reasons:
Phil messing around with the new song for the industrial feel.
I can’t sleep. The song is clawing at my brain, tempting me with promises of fulfillment and satisfaction while at the same time tormenting me with the knowledge that no matter how long i work on it tonight i will not have enough there to complete it. I’m hearing a piano, a cello, some industrial samples, black metal and industrial guitar, all at the edges of my consciousness. I can almost hear how any words will be sung.
But i know i can’t complete it tonight. Hell, Fail is a year old and i don’t even have a solid completed version of that song. This new song is probably going to haunt me for the next 2 months.
Please, dark muse, let me pass into the oblivion for now. i promise i’ll return to pull you out soon, but i must work tomorrow, and i need this grey matter functional to do so.
Blatantly stolen from Dave and Heather’s Blog located at http://emaild.net/blog1/2008/02/yahoo_small_buisness_mail_imap.html
Ok so I had a hell of a time figuring out how to configure my iPhone to work with Yahoo’s IMAP servers. I had read quite a few sites claiming that Yahoo does not support IMAP for small buisness class accounts. What? Why would they allow IMAP for free yahoo accounts and yet pay buisness web hosting accounts the service is not provided? Well I assumed it has something to do with the IMAP service not fully being tested. I noticed that when Yahoo launched thier new Webmail interface, it took almost two to three months before Emaild web mail had the ability to use the new interface. This was because Yahoo beta tests new features on free subscribers. This I assume is the same thing…

Ran into a customer today who was having problems using Google Apps with his domain account. Not long after mentioning it to a colleague, i myself was on google apps, preparing to say goodbye to both my standard email address and the Yahoo! Small Business based email boxes i’ve had.
Nothing went 100% according to plan, but so far i was able to successfully migrate my calendars and prepare the mail for transfer. we’ll see how it goes. I’m excited about it anyway
In the meantime, gasp in awe of the design work Ollo and I have put onto the site.
Here are the articles on using Google Apps with a Yahoo! based domain.
Went through and did a site redesign using WordPress 3.0 as a base. All of the old content will remain, but the Yahoo! Site Solution site has been moved.
If you’d like to see the old site, click here (will open in a new window or tab).
Please note that this site is always under tweaking and changing.
